The Canton Chamber of Commerce offers members a valuable commodity in terms of networking, discount programs, insurance, credibility and business advocacy. Your membership is an investment in your business future as well as Canton's future.

The Chamber office is open Monday through Friday from 8 – 4:30 p.m. The Chamber distributes business brochures, area maps, and handles over 15,000 phone calls per year.

Networking Opportunities

The Canton Chamber of Chamber hosts a variety of networking opportunities throughout the year, including monthly luncheons, Networking Coffees, Breakfast with Township Supervisor, After Hours Mixers, in addition to our annual events. All events are listed in our Calendar of Events, the E-communicator, email updates, as well as on the website. Reservations are required at all Chamber events. Direct Member Referral

The Chamber receives over 12,000 calls annually asking for referrals for reputable companies for anything from insurance to home repairs. We recommend Chamber Members ONLY.
 

Health Insurance

The Chamber offers top of the line group health and dental insurance (including Blue Cross/Blue Shield) through our member insurance agencies. A current list of agents can be found on our website or you can request a listing, email memberrelations@cantonchamber.com or call 734.453.4040 Ext. 5.
 

New Resident Packages

The Canton Chamber of Commerce provides information packages to new residents and tourists of the Canton area. The package is made up of Chamber member flyers, brochures, coupons, and trinkets. Postcards are mailed to our new residents in the area asking them to stop by the Chamber office and pick up their new resident bag. The bags are also available at the Chamber office for walk-ins and visitors. There is no charge for placing your business information in the bags. Ribbon Cuttings

Ribbon Cuttings are a great way to let the business community know who you are and where you are located. Ribbon Cuttings are free of charge for members, and the Canton Chamber will provide the ribbon, scissors, and photograph, in addition to the Ribbon Cutting team made up of our board members and Ambassadors. They can be held to commemorate Grand Openings, Anniversary, and/or special events. The Chamber will invite all Chamber businesses, local Township officials and the news media to your event. Ribbon cuttings must be scheduled two weeks in advance (more if possible). For more information or to schedule a Ribbon Cutting contact the chamber office at 734.453.4040.
 

Chamber Lobby -- Display your literature

The display area in the Canton Chamber office lobby is open and available for flyers, brochures, and business cards from any Chamber member. Although the display appears full, we frequently rotate business cards and literature so that each business has an opportunity to utilize the display.
 

Room Rental -- Chamber Conference Room

The conference room is available to Chamber members during or after office hours for a minimal fee + deposit. The room can be set up classroom style (seats 25-35), lecture style (seats 45-50), board style (seats 18-24), or for other special needs. Newsletter “The Networker”

The Canton Chamber of Commerce publishes a monthly newsletter, “The Networker’. This publication is mailed to more than 800 members and associates of the Chamber. The Networker keeps you informed about business activities in the Canton Chamber and the Canton Community. Included in the newsletter is our updated Calendar of Events, business news releases, Township updates, member profiles, member anniversaries, and many informative articles on a variety of Chamber related subjects. Newsletter -- Member Profile in the Networker

Members can submit a short, 150-175 word article about their business to be included in the Member Showcase section of the Networker monthly newsletter. Article information can include but is not limited to: what the business does, how the business got started, why you chose Canton for your location and contact information, news about the business, personal information, etc. Articles typically appear in the newsletter two to three months after submission. To submit your member profile, fill out the Member Profile form and fax to the Canton Chamber at 734.453.4503 or contact the Chamber for more information at 734.453.4040.
 

Newsletter -- In the News

Any member is welcome to contribute appropriate “In the News” tidbits for the monthly newsletter. Information can include but is not limited to: upcoming company events, achievements such as a promotion, special news, and other announcements. News items can be fax to 734.453.4503 or email to admin@cantonchamber.com. The Chamber reserves the right to edit information and tems will be run on a first come, first serve basis.
 

Advertising Opportunities

The Canton Chamber offers advertising opportunities in the Networker newsletter and on the Chamber website. Businesses wishing to advertise in the newsletter have the opportunity to choose from 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, and full page ads at 12 month rates. Business may also insert 8 ½ x 11 flyers into the newsletter for a nominal fee. Banner ad space on the Chamber website is available to businesses wishing to advertise on the web. Sponsorship Opportunities

The Chamber offers many sponsorship opportunities throughout the year. Sponsorships are available for a wide variety of activities and events. Sponsorships offer specific benefits to businesses which include newsletter/email recognition, signage, website advertising, plaque recognition, and much more. The Chamber has several committees that our members can join. Each committee is unique and requires varying amounts of time and commitment. Discount Programs for Members, Visitors and Residents

Chamber members have the opportunity to offer discounts to other member’s residents and visitors with the Member Discount program and Consumer Coupon program. Member Discounts appear monthly in the Networker newsletter and are a great way to offer fellow members an incentive to shop with your business. The Consumer Coupon program allows members to offer coupons to the general public via the Canton Chamber website. There is a minimal cost for coupons. Canton/Wayne County Map

The Canton Chamber of Commerce produces a detailed street map of Canton bi-annually. We print more than 10,000 maps which are given to residents and visitors who come to the Canton community to shop. The maps are also located at the Canton Library, Township, and all local hotels. The map offers advertising opportunities to all Chamber Members.
 

Membership to the MAX

The Membership to the MAX program is designed to help new members along with long standing members to get the most out of their Chamber membership.  It will allow you the opportunity to take your membership to the next level, by teaching you ways to utilize the various commodities that are offered. The Canton Chamber has a dynamic website! Our website contains valuable links and resources to aid visitors, residents and Chamber members and a variety of other audiences on their journey through the Canton Community. The website is frequently updated with information for our upcoming Chamber and Community events, member information and benefits, Member Directory and sponsorship opportunities.
 

Website Classifieds

The Classifieds section on the Chamber website is available for members to post information in the following categories: Employment, Office Space for Lease/Sale, Autos/Trucks/Vans for Sale Merchandise for Sale, and General Announcements. To submit your information fill out the online form on the Chamber website. The form will be submitted and your ad should appear on the website within 2 business days.
 

Coordination with Township/State/Nation

The Chamber co-sponsors and/or works closely with the Township and the Downtown Development Authority (DDA) on many community events including Marketing Partners, Shop Canton, Economic Club Luncheons, Consumer Expos, Home Improvement Expo, Breakfast with Township Supervisor, Liberty Fest, Relay for Life and Grub Crawl.  As a member of the Michigan State Chamber of Commerce, we keep members informed on Legislative issues that affect your business.
