We’re thrilled to announce the re-launch of Leadership Canton, co-sponsored by Canton Township and the Canton Chamber of Commerce. This premier program is designed to connect, educate, and empower Canton Township’s business leaders and residents.


Dive into the heart of our community to gain exclusive insights into how Canton operates. Participants will explore critical areas such as economic development, education through our school district, advancements in technology, and the workings of local, county, and state government—and much more.

Class Schedule:

February 6th: Opening Kick-Off Session, Breakfast at Cherry Hill Village Theater

February 26th: Education/School District & Canton Public Library

March 18th: Economic Development

April 17th: Canton Leisure Services / Artificial Intelligence (AI) Workshop

May 14th: Community Day of Impact

June 5th: Public Safety (Fire & Police)

June 18th: Graduation

Leadership Canton Class Project: Day of Impact

  • This will be a community service day that brings businesses owners, residents and students together for the common goal of a day of "Intentional Impact" in Canton! More details to follow. 


PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

  • All Leadership Canton sessions are in person (there is currently no option for Virtual Attendance)
  • Location for each session will vary depending on the topic session. Each attendee will be notified of specific locations prior to the session via email
  • Each session will last approximately 6 hours.
  • Sessions will include both "class room" style instruction, tours (walking and mobile). 
  • There is no particular coursework assigned to participants outside of the regular scheduled in-session times.
  • Upon completion of the program, participants will receive a graduation certificate at a dinner banquet.
  • Tuition fees ($500) assist in covering the cost of meals, transportation, materials and other planning costs for the duration of the program.


OTHER POINTS OF INTEREST

Meals:  Food is an important part of any gathering!  You will be given breakfast and lunch at each session.  The opening kick off breakfast is a full hot breakfast.  A continental breakfast will be provided during the general sessions. Lunches provided will be a full meal.  Breakfast will be served between 8:30-9:00am, before the start of each session. Lunch times will vary based on the session schedule.  If you have any special nutrition needs, please let us know in advance.


Communications:  It will be important that you provide an email address that you will check often as email will be our main form of communication with the class. 


Travel:  There will be times when a session will begin in one location then move to another.  You will need reliable transportation to get from place to place.  There may be chances to carpool.  One or two sessions transportation will be provided for you.


Attire:  The dress code for each session is business casual unless you hear from us in advance.  Please wear comfortable shoes as most sessions will involve walking.
